Thermo Electron, and Target Instruments have been working closely to develop and sell a next generation room temperature hand held Isotope Identification systems, called the radFINDER. This high-end device searches, finds and identifies all radioactivity defined in ANSI 42.34.
UPDATE: Thermo Electron, and Target Instruments have brought the first smart PRD to market. Government Security News has named it "Product of the Day". Learn more

SAIC-Exploranium was one of the first companies to develop a handheld isotope ID system that incorporates eV-CZT detectors. Today 1000’s of GR-135 Identifiers have been sold to US Customs, First Responders, Military and other division of Homeland Security.

D-tect Systems, a division of ATK-Alliant Techsystems, designed, manufactures and sells the RadID, one of the industries highest performing Isotope ID systems. eV PRODUCTS is a proud supplier of CZT detectors to D-tect Systems.

XRF Corp, has been successfully selling one of the highest resolution room temperature Isotope ID systems ever built. With 100’s sold into Homeland Security and environmental monitoring applications, the ICS-4000 greatly exhibits the performance given only by CZT detectors. Winner of an R&D 100 award in 2001.

Los Alamos National Laboratory designed and developed a room temperature hand-held CZT isotope identification detector. eV PRODUCTS contract manufactured dozens of these detectors for LANL. LANL is now looking for companies to License this Technology for Commercial Applications.
